Thermocouple Extension Cable

Type M827 Multiple Pairs Overall Screened

Cape Cables’ T/C extension cable permits maximum rejection of interference and provides cleanest possible signals for critical applications.

The crosslinked polyethylene insulation is rated at a temperature of 105°C providing excellent electrical and physical properties. The conductors are colour coded in the standard ANSI colour codes for various thermocouple extension cable calibrations and are also alpha/numerically marked. Standard conductors are solid. However, in some cases stranded conductors are available subject to confirmation by our factory’s Technical Department.

The twisted pairs provide interference rejection, ease of circuit identification and ease of handling.

The overall aluminium/mylar tape screen with a stranded tinned copper drain wire for initial protection against interference ensures easy termination of the screen. The helically applied tape screen provides 100% coverage. Screen isolation is verified in all combinations during final factory testing.

The bedding is constructed of 85°C fire retardant PVC.

This is a unique aluminium co-polymer laminate bonded to the black 85°C fire retardant PVC sheath which provides a complete hermetic seal and is resistant to most chemical and hydrocarbon corrosion, withstands abrasion, pulling in of the cable is UV resistant. For additional screening a tinned copper strand drain wire is fed under the laminate layer. These cables are recommended for duct and tray installations.  In addition these cables comply with the requirements of IEC 332 Part 3 in respect of fire retardant properties. Coloured sheaths are available on request.

The ripcord makes cable stripping easy without the danger of damage from a cutting tool.

All cables are rated at 250V max from core to core.
